Driving directions to Rosarito:

Once you get to the border, you'll find a red light / green light system set up for who gets their car inspected. If you get a red light and the bell sounds, proceed to Custom's Inspection area. The Mexican Custom Agents also randomly direct vehicles into Custom's Inspection area. There is nothing to fear at Custom's Inspection unless you have numerous items that you are trying to get across the border without authorization.

To get to the toll road from the border after entering Mexico, as you go up the bridge, stick to the right lanes and follow the signs to the toll road Rosarito / Ensenada, it will take you to the road that runs along the international border, the cost of the toll road is about $2.20USD. The main Boulevard in Rosarito, Benito Juarez, runs along the town streching about three miles. There are a total of four exits, depending on the Hotel of your choice, here are the directions to each hotel:

Villa Serena Hotel:
Once you reach Rosarito, take the first exit and turn Left at McDonald's onto Blvd. Benito Juarez, turn right on Avenida Del Mar (2 blocks) and you'll find Villa Serena at the end of the road.

Quinta Del Mar Hotel: (next to the Quinta Del Mar Condos) Once you reach Rosarito, take the Third exit, go straight untill you reach Blvd Benito Juarez. Turn left onto Rosartio's main blvd (Blvd Benito Juarez) you'll see the hotel on the right hand side (3 blocks) at the first street light. Located 1 street light north from the club zone.

Quinta Del Mar Condos: (next to the Quinta Del Mar Hotel) Once you reach Rosarito, take the Third exit, go straight untill you reach Blvd Benito Juarez. Turn left onto Rosartio's main blvd (Blvd Benito Juarez) you'll see the hotel on the right hand side (3 block) at the first street light. Located 1 street light north from the club zone.


Quinta Pacifica Ocean Front Villas: (Must check-in at Quinta Del Mar Condos) Once you reach Rosarito, take the Third exit, go straight untill you reach Blvd Benito Juarez. Turn left onto Rosartio's main blvd (Blvd Benito Juarez) you see the hotel on the right hand side (3 blocks) at the first street light. Located 1/2 mile (10 minute walk) from club zone.


Corona Plaza Hotel:
Once you reach Rosarito, take the Third exit, go straight untill you reach Blvd Benito Juarez. Turn left onto Rosartio's main blvd (

Hotel Briasa Del Mar:

Festival Plaza Hotel
: Once you reach Rosarito, take the Fourth exit, go straight untill you reach Blvd. Benito Juarez, you'll see the hotel on your right hand side.
Located on the heart of the club zone.

Rosarito Beach Hotel:
Once you reach Rosarito, take the fourth and last Rosarito exit, it will take you directly to the Rosarito Beach Hotel.

Party Tips
"Smart drinking" is always recommended when visiting bars or nightclubs: always be aware of what you are being served, never leave your drink unattended and do not drink excessively. Use common sense and enjoy the experience of Mexico and Baja California. It's illegal to drink on the streets or in your car in Mexico.

It is unlawful to:
Drink alcoholic beverages on the streets
Drive a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or control substance.
Enter a bar if you are under 18 years old.
Disturb the peace.
Possess or use of any type of drugs and control sustenance.

ATM machines are conveniently located all along the B. Juarez Blvd. in the tourist center of Rosarito. Most will provide only pesos, automatically using the current conversion rate when taking money from your bank account.

Public Transit
Taximeters are not widely used in Baja, when using a taxicab make sure to negotiate the fare before boarding. Have exact fare for public transportation.

Traffic tickets
If you are stopped by a police officer for a traffic violation you should always politely insist on a written citation that you could pay at the police station or by mail. Be aware that speed limits in México are set in kilometers (1 mile= 1.6 kms.) so that the speed limit on highways is 55 Miles per hour and within city limits it averages 15 miles per hour.

When faced with a fine that you consider unfair, you can contest the fine by filling an appeal, either orally or in writing, for a municipal judge to review the fine. To do this, immediately go to the nearest municipal judge; if you need help to do this call our Tourist Assistance Hot Line 078.

Just like in the United States, you can get a ticket and be issued with a fine for:
Running a red light. not having or not using the seat belt. using cellular phone while driving. driving without a valid driver’s license or car registration. drinking alcoholic beverages on the streets, sidewalks or public property. exceeding the speed limit. driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs (DUI) In addition to the fine, you may also be detained.
